Short answers about what Apex Books does today.
Apex Books is GST billing and accounting software for Indian small and medium businesses. It creates GST invoices, records purchases, expenses and payments, tracks stock, and keeps a double-entry ledger with trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet. It runs in the browser and as Windows and Android apps that share the same books.
Yes. Any invoice, estimate, order, receipt or credit note can be shared on WhatsApp in one tap, with the amount, balance due and your UPI ID filled in. Unpaid invoices have a Send reminder button, and the Parties page can remind every overdue customer, one message per customer listing all their overdue invoices. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp.
Yes. Bank name, account number, IFSC, branch and UPI ID entered under Settings → Document branding print on every invoice layout. When money is still due, the invoice also carries a UPI scan-to-pay QR code for the exact balance, so customers can pay from any UPI app.
Yes. The point-of-sale screen adds items by name or barcode, works with USB and Bluetooth barcode scanners, and can scan with the phone camera on Android. Bills, invoices and receipts print as 80 mm or 58 mm thermal receipts, with cash tendered, change and a UPI QR code when a balance is due.
Apex Books prepares GSTR-1, GSTR-2A and GSTR-3B working papers directly from your posted invoices, purchases and notes, exportable to Excel and PDF. They are book-derived figures for review: file your return on the GST portal after checking them. E-invoicing and e-way bill generation are not yet built in.
The day book lists every entry dated a chosen day — sales, purchases, expenses, payments and transfers — with total sales, purchases and expenses and the cash and bank money that came in and went out. You can step through days and open any entry from the list.
Apex Books works in a web browser, as a Windows 10/11 desktop app with a per-user installer, and as an Android app. All three connect to the same company books, so an invoice created on the phone appears on the desktop straight away.
Yes. Apex Books can import a Vyapar backup. The import is shown as a read-only preview first and nothing is posted to your books until you confirm, so you can check parties, items and balances before switching.
